Colors, Shapes & Textures
Choosing the right flowers and florist for your wedding

Flowers play a big role in weddings and events. They should always be a reflection of the couples style and taste.
When selecting your flowers you should work with the colors you selected for the rest of the event. Think of your event as decorating a room. You need to coordinate your colors. However you can add punches of color for accent (and fun). I suggest getting a color wheel. It will help you in selecting colors and picking ones that compliment each other, especially accent colors.
We are all attracted to different colors and textures. Try to think of your flowers as colors , shapes and textures. Notice flowers that you like and decide what it is that attracts you to them. The earlier in the process you do this the easier it will be to select not only your flowers but your dresses , suits, etc.
When choosing a florist it’s a good idea to visit with a few as you will get different ideas from each one. When you have met with a few and are ready to make a decision choose the florist that you felt most comfortable with and ask them to work with you on any budget issues. Many people make the mistake of going with the lowest priced florist. Most florist are more than willing to work with you on price.
Feel free to contact me if you need advice or have questions.
Congratulations on your engagement!

Jonathan & Melissa | Wedding by Rick Bouthiette Photography
We were at the beautiful Castleton in Windham, NH for Jonathan & Melissa’s wedding in June. Since there was a threat of rain they decided to stay dry and have their ceremony inside but we were able to get outside for some great captures of them on the grounds. They were joined by family and friends and entertainment was provided by DJ Doug Boucher. Congratulations Jonathan & Melissa!
Comments encouraged and welcome. See more pictures on the Facebook Page.
Bryan & Tammy | Wedding by Rick Bouthiette Photography
We were honored to be there to photograph Bryan & Tammy’s wedding in May 2011. They were married at Saint Peter’s Church in Auburn, NH followed by a reception at the beautifully remodeled Ashworth By The Sea in Hampton, NH. Tammy wanted her formal pictures done along the coastline in the Rye/North Hampton area and in our travels to the coast it was pouring. Just as our luck would have it the rain stopped just after we arrived and we were able to capture some great moments.
Comments are welcome and suggested. People love comments about themselves. See more pictures on the Facebook Page.

Daniel & Jessica | Wedding
Daniel & Jessica planned an early spring wedding and were married on March 26, 2011 at Londonderry United Methodist Church. Following the ceremony they were joined by family and friends at Zorvino’s Vineyard in Sandown, NH where the service and atmosphere would be hard to beat. Speaking of beats… DJ Rick from Get Down Tonight Entertainment was a blast and had the dance floor full all night.
Here are a few pictures from the day. Feel free to leave a comment. There are more pictures on Facebook.

Mahesh & Janell | Wedding In Medford. MA
Our first wedding of the 2011 season was at the home of Mahesh and Janell in Medford, MA. Married by a Justice of the Peace with the traditional exchange of rings, Mahesh also presented a necklace to Janell which was hand made by his father who is a jeweler in India. They were joined by friends and family for a small intimate ceremony followed by dinner at a local restaurant. Congratulations Mahesh and Janell!
