Deb & I were off to Drakes Island in Wells, ME for a beach wedding on Saturday. Dan & Shannon were married on the beach by Pastor Brad Illian from Calvary Bible Church. An unbelievable amount of effort went into this day. Shannon’s Dad was on the beach at 6:00 a.m. to claim a spot. He was assisted by friends, family and even had some support from people on the beach to help set up the the arbor, chairs and even cold beverages for the 100 guests that were shuttled to the beach by trolley. Following the ceremony guests were shuttled back to The Coastal House for some great food, dancing and a few very long and touching toasts. Dan is currently serving in the US Air Force (thank you Dan) and is stationed at Buckley AFB in Colorado where they will be residing.
