Our fourth guest post in our 2014 series is by Brad Harrington from Harrington Flowers. Brad brings us some helpful information on finding a bouquet that’s perfect for you.
So how should you get started?
Start by finding your wedding dress as this has a lot to do with the style, color and texture of your bouquet. Many dress designers are using lace and sequin patterns in their dress designs. These patterns usually have some floral in them, so it is nice to pull these out and incorporate them into your bouquet. If you are having alterations done to your dress ask to keep the fabric as your florist can use this to wrap your bouquet.
Hand Tied Or Cascade?
If your dress has a lot of texture, pattern or design.. you may want to think of a hand tied bouquet as a cascade will cover a lot of the pretty patterns on your dress. If your dress is more decorated on the top and more plain sheer on the bottom a cascade could be a better choice or consideration.
Find Inspiration
Start a Pinterest board and collect pictures of flowers and bouquets that you are attracted too. Looking at these images can give your florist a better idea of what colors and textures you are more attracted too.
