An Apple Orchard Engagement Session

How did a boy from the Philippines who enjoyed playing basketball, climbing trees for mangos and playing with spiders meet a girl from New Hampshire who was enthralled with art and searching the woods for frogs and salamanders? They met in June of 2009 while Liane took an internship while studying to be Medical Laboratory Scientist at a hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. She started a new phase in her life but little did she know the changes she was about to encounter were far bigger than she imagined. Jett was a medical technician at the the same hospital and they often passed each other’s line of sight in the hallways of the hospital. For Liane, his smile and laugh stood out and she couldn’t help but smile back when she saw him. Jett noticed a shy girl who always had books with her. Eventually he had an opportunity to train her and she questioned his knowledge. SHE was out to get him. The crush was mutual and that autumn, they went on a date and drove to the Tram at Cannon Mountain to view a panoramic view of the colorful Fall leaves. Later they enjoyed a beer and food at a local brewery. By dessert Liane was smitten. Within a few months of walking by each other in the hallways, and many more dates they walked straight into each other’s hearts and were falling in love. They exchanged their first I love yous. Jett declared his love before he left for a trip to Montreal. And Liane snuck a love note homemade cookies into his luggage.

Many more dates followed along with years of falling more in love. During that time, they adopted their beloved dog Zoey, Liane learned to cook Philippine cuisine and they enjoyed many adventures and one very special extreme adventure. In June of 2014 Jett took Liane on a surprise date. He told her she needed to wear something active and a change of clothes in case she peed her pants! Jett pulled into a skydiving park! Liane didn’t know it but Jett was planning to propose. After suiting up with a diamond ring tucked in his pocket and hopping on the plane Jett had more than just the thought of jumping out of a plane from 10,0000 feet to be a little nervous about! Jett jumped first and Liane followed. As Liane came in for her landing, she saw Jett kneeling in front of her with an outstretched hand and a ring. As Liane caught her breath, Jett asked “will you marry me?” and immediately she said YES to the love of her life.
