They chose to have a Waterville Valley Resort mountaintop wedding. It was a perfect fall day with spectacular views of the White Mountains. They invited their closest friends and family to ride the White Peaks Express chair lift to the stunning ceremony site. With breathtaking views, Carolyn and Sean promised forever to love each other and sealed it with a kiss.

Sean + Carolyn met stocking produce at Shaws Supermarket during the summer of 2006. He was still in high school, while she was between her freshman and sophomore years of college. She instantly was attracted to the tall, handsome, funny guy – Sean.

That summer was a really fun one for Sean and Carolyn – putting cucumbers in a row, stocking heads of lettuce, and going on a date…they think? Carolyn recalls a trip to the movies followed by her making a move and kissing Sean in the Shaw’s parking lot. The spark was clearly lit, but that September she returned to college and he went back to high school…and eventually he ended up in Vermont for college, while she was attending Keene State.

A few years went by with each living their individual lives…until sometime in early 2014, when, thanks to the power of Facebook, they reconnected…and on May 30, 2014 they went on their second first date. This time to the Barley House – it was like they’d never lost touch – conversation flowed effortlessly. After that night things moved pretty quickly and they started spending a lot more time together…ultimately falling in love.

Sean tried to tell Carolyn how he felt while on the top of Mt. Osceola, but he chickened out…until finally after a Halloween party, dressed as a penguin, Sean told Carolyn how much he loved her.

Fast forward to April 17, 2016: Sean and Carolyn went on a hike up the first mountain they’d ever hiked together. As they reached the summit Carolyn noticed a large circle of flowers…and her first thought was that there must be a memorial service happening…that is until Sean pulled her into the circle, got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and in front of a crowd of hikers asked “Carolyn, will you marry me?”.

Carolyn and Sean, thank you for inviting us to document the first day of your marriage. We wish you nothing but the best and amazingness in your lives together.

Many thanks to the amazing team who made this wedding so perfect…
